When to apply for a Student Visa if you are outside the UK
If you are outside the UK at the date of the application, your application for entry clearance as a student must be made no more than 6 months before the start date of the course stated on the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies.
The date of the application must be within 6 months of getting a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies.
Example
Luciano’s course begins on 1 September 2021. He received a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies on 15 February 2021. As Luciano is outside the UK, he can apply between 1 March 2021 (6 months before his course starts) and 15 August 2021 (6 months of getting a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies).
