How many points you need to score for a Student Visa in the UK

To be granted a Student Visa, you must be awarded 70 points in total, 50 of which for meeting all Study requirements.

You must have been issued with a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies.

The course of study which you wish to attend must satisfy some requirements and must lead to an approved qualification.

The level of study depends on whether the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies has been assigned by a Probationary Sponsor or by a Student Sponsor.

As a general rule, all study that forms part of the course of study must take place on the premises of your sponsor or a partner institution. More details here.

The other 20 points are awarded for meeting the financial requirement (10 points) and for satisfying the English language requirement (10 points).
